Header fire at Yallunda Flat

At 11:23 this morning CFS crews were alerted to a header fire at Yallunda Flat, on the Lower Eyre Peninsula, after a header struck power lines.

Farm firefighting units were quickly on scene, with five CFS crews also responding the to the fire.

Approximately $100,000 of damages was done to the header, with the fire also burning 5 hectares of crop.

The header operator was unharmed in the accident.
