Grass fire at Norton Summit - October 19 2025
CFS crews on seven trucks responded to a small grass fire burning in privately owned vegetation and paddock in Norton Summit this afternoon.
Thanks to their quick and skilled work, approximately 35 firefighters were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to a nearby house.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a burn off from the previous day that reignited.
This incident serves as a timely reminder to ensure all burn offs and fires are properly extinguished as we approach warmer weather and the Fire Danger Season.
CFS also reminds the community to check the Fire Danger Season dates and daily Fire Danger Ratings at cfs.sa.gov.au.
