Farm machinery fire at Whyte Yarcowie - 15 December 2025
Shortly before 2:00 pm, about 24 CFS volunteer firefighters, supported by SA Police and Farm Fire Units, responded to a farm machinery fire at Whyte Yarcowie, about 28 km west of Jamestown in the state's Mid North.
Firefighters arrived on 6 trucks and worked for some time to extinguish smouldering areas in surrounding barley and wild oat scrub. The fire burnt approximately 50 hectares.
The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage, and the machinery's comb was destroyed.
