Farm Fire Unit Operator Injury Update - 6 December 2025

Both impacted Farm Fire Unit Operators injured yesterday at the Hornsdale Fire, north-west of Jamestown, have been assessed for burns and have received appropriate medical attention. One was assessed locally, while the other was flown to Adelaide for further treatment but has since been released from hospital and will be returning home. The safety of everyone supporting operations on our fireground is our top priority, and as with all incidents of this nature, the circumstances of yesterday’s injuries will be reviewed.
