CFS incident alert for a house fire at Nangwarry in the South East.

At 12:40 today CFS crews were alerted to a house fire, with 000 caller reporting seeing smoke and flames coming from the roof. A woman was able to enter the house and rescue a dog before crews arrived.

Seven CFS crews responded and found a single storey home well ablaze.

Crews were able to save three vehicles and a shed and protect neighbouring properties.

The house was completely destroyed from the fire.

Fire Cause Investigators will attend the scene to determine the cause of the fire, with damages estimated to be approximately $170,000.
