$100,000 damage at Waterloo Corner care facility- 17 October 2021

At 9:00 this evening, 3 CFS crews were alerted to a fire at The Palms Residential Village at Waterloo Corner, in the Northern suburbs. 15 firefighters along with SA Ambulance Services and SA Police were in attendance with one occupant being rescued by CFS crews and suffering from smoke inhalation.

The home was partially damaged with crews able to prevent the spread to other units within the village.
Damages are estimated to be approximately $100,000, with a Fire Cause Investigator to attend the scene to determine the cause.
