Structure fire at Munno Para West - 27 August 2026

Multiple Triple Zero calls prompted thirty-two CFS and MFS firefighters on 6 trucks and 2 command vehicles to a residential structure fire at Munno Para West just before midday.

On arrival, crews found the structures, including an attached carport and detached granny flat, fully involved in fire. Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the blaze, successfully preventing its spread beyond the property. Despite these efforts, both the structures and their contents were destroyed, with damage estimated at around one million dollars.

Although the property occupants were not home at the time, unfortunately two pets inside were found deceased.

Crews will remain on site for some time to ensure total extinguishment and make the area safe. SA Police, SA Power Networks and SA Ambulance have supported crews on site.

The cause is currently undetermined, and Fire Investigators have been notified.
