Structure fire at Angaston - 14 May 2025
Five CFS trucks carrying approximately 20 volunteer firefighters responded to a Triple Zero call at 9:14pm to attend a structure fire at an aluminium production factory located on Crennis Mines Road at Angaston in the Barossa Valley.
When arriving on scene, volunteers found the fire located within a paint hopper and conducted a direct attack utilising breathing apparatus, thermal imaging cameras and atmospheric monitoring.
The firefighters contained the fire, ensuring it remained within the hopper, aiming to make the scene safe for work to continue in adjoining parts of the premises.
The fire has resulted in $100,000 damage to the factory.
SA Police and SA Ambulance Service personnel were also on scene.
