Crews Stop Shed Fire Engulfing Home

At just after 4pm today, the CFS were responded to a shed fire at Lemar Close, MACCLESFIELD.
On arrival, crews found that the fire had spread to the adjoining home and that the occupant had escaped uninjured.
40 firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze, which took them approximately 45 minutes. As the blaze took hold, they worked quickly to limit the damage to the home.
The fire caused significant damage to the shed but the home was saved with fire damage to part of the roof as well as smoke and water damage to some rooms within the home.
Fire Cause Investigators are working to determine the cause but the damage bill is estimated at $150 - 200K.
