SAMPSON FLAT BUSHFIRE - CFS urges public onlookers to stay clear of Greenwith

03/01/2015

The Sampson Flat fire is continuing to burn out of control on its Western flank and has jumped Melville Road in Gould Creek approximately 2kms North East of the urban fringe of Greenwith.

The fire is advancing South of the Little Para Reservoir through steep gully country before it approaches more open country on the urban fringe in the vicinity of Greenwith.

The CFS is urging the public to stay well clear of this area. Onlookers to this fire are asked to clear the area immediately and not impede the work of Emergency Service vehicles and their safety.

The vicinity of this fire is not a safe place to be for anyone other than trained Emergency Service personnel.
