BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE

Issued for Mt Granite Bushfire

The Mt Granite bushfire in the Gawler Ranges NP, west of Scrubby Peak is still burning in an inaccessible area north of Minnipa. Severe fire weather today Friday 27/10 may cause this bushfire to burn intensely south towards the Locke Claypans and then east toward the Organ Pipes, Scrubby Peak, Scrubby campground, Yandinga campground and the Minnipa-Yardea road. These are dangerous fire conditions. Park visitors should avoid traveling to these areas and any campers should leave early. DEWNR fire crews will monitor the fire and remain on site.
