SA to send more help to NSW

Following today's significant fire activity, South Australia's Emergency Services will be sending another deployment of fire fighters to help with efforts in Northern New South Wales.
With over 90 fires burning, including 55 uncontained and 14 fires threatening townships, the NSWRFS contacted the SACFS this morning requesting help.
South Australia a contingent of 34, consisting of:
16 SACFS Volunteer fire fighters;
10 Department of Environment and Water personnel; and
8 SA Metropolitan Fire Service.
The South Australian Ambulance Service will also be providing paramedic support to the deployment.
This will bring the total number of personnel, from across our emergency services, deployed to NSW in the past month to over 180.
Due to the nature of the fires, the NSWRFS has engaged the Australian Defence Force, with some personnel flying to the fire zone via a RAAF VIP fleet plane.
