Lightning sparking multiple fires across the state

01/12/2018

The South Australian Country Fire Service is currently responding to multiple fires resulting from lightning strikes associated with a front that is moving across the state.

We are seeing concentrated strikes in the Kangaroo Island, Clare Valley, Mid North, Lower South East and Eyre Peninsula areas at the moment.

If you are in an area which is experiencing lightning - please remain aware of what is happening around you, and be prepared if a fire does start.

If you are in an area that is currently under a Total Fire Ban, activate your Bushfire Survival Plan and monitor ABC Local Radio, cfs.sa.gov.au or the CFS Social Media channels on Facebook and Twitter or call the Bushfire Information Hotline on 1800 362 361.

If you see a fire, call 000 immediately.

Please do not reply to this email - you will not receive a response.

For media enquiries call the CFS Media Line on 08 8115 3531.
