ISSUED FOR WYE

CFS crews are in attendance at a rubbish fire at a property at Tillers Road, Wye. The fire is controlled but is likely to burn for several days due to the variety of material burning.

This is in addition to an existing burn on the property of mixed feed and natural materials which is expected to burn out within 24 hours.

At times this will cause large amounts of smoke in the vicinity of Tillers Road, Green Point Road and Eight Mile Creek Road and members of the community are urged to take care when driving in the area.

CFS firefighters will continue to patrol and monitor the quarry over the coming days.
