GRASS FIRE

Issued for WESTALL near Westall Way Loop, 20 Kilometres South West of Streaky Bay on the West Coast Peninsula.

CFS volunteers on 3 trucks and supporting Farm Fire Units have prevented the fire near Fisherman's Paradise from impacting properties.

Crews now have the fire under control and will remain on scene into this evening working to extinguish the blaze and ensuring the area remains safe.

Emergency services may be working on and around roads in the area, and motorists are advised to stay away. If you need to travel on roads in the area, please take care and drive to the local conditions.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
