Spring Farm - Structure and Grass Fire

The CFS is still working to extinguish a farmhouse and multiple shed fires, but have stopped the grass fire at Spring Farm near Clare, in the Clare Valley of South Australia.

At the peak of the fire approximately 80 CFS firefighters were working on the fireground, supported by 5 aircraft, including firebombers and observational aircraft, with currently 40 crews working to continue to extinguish the fire. The crews have been supported by SA State Emergency Services, South Australia Police and SA Ambulance Service.

The impacted structures at this incident are currently not under control, and are likely to continue to burn into the coming days.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and Fire Investigators will attend the scene on Saturday the 8th of November, 2025.

The Riesling Trail is currently closed to members of the public due to fire impacts from this incident.

Smoke is expected to be impacting roads in the area, and visibility may be reduced. To ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who may be working on and around roads in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.

Roads are currently open around this incident however this may change at short notice. Continue to monitor road closures at: traffic.sa.gov.au
