ISSUED FOR MOUNT WEDGE

CFS firefighters, supported by fire crews from the Department of Environment and Water (DEW), Farm Fire Units and heavy machinery, are continuing to work on the Mount Wedge fire ground. Crews will continue to build containment lines and manage flare ups as they occur.

The public is asked to avoid the fire ground around Mount Wedge, in particular Rocky Valley Road due to the current conditions.

Crews will be working in the coming days to minimise the impact to local communities. It is expected that firefighters will remain on the scene over the coming few days to contain the fire and make the area safe.

No roads are closed around this incident, however this may change at short notice. Continue to monitor https://traffic.sa.gov.au/

Emergency services are working on and around roads in the area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible. If you do need to travel on roads in the Mount Wedge area, please take care and drive according to the conditions.
