Keilira Bush fire
The CFS is responding to grass fire 30 km west of padthaway in the upper south east of South Australia.
CFS volunteers on 10 trucks supported by Farm Fire Units and firebombing aircraft, are on scene working to extinguish the fire which has burnt 50 hectares.
Quick response from teams has halted the spread of this fire and firefighters will remain on scene to working to extinguish hot spots within the fireground.
Crews will continue to monitor the fireground over the coming days to ensure the area remains safe given the elevated fire conditions predicted into early next week.
The operations are also being supported by South Australia Police with traffic management. Road around the incident are open at this time but this can change at any moment. Monitor traffic conditions at traffic.sa.gov.au
Smoke is impacting roads in the area, and visibility may be reduced. To ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.
This remains an active fireground and where possible the community is encouraged to stay away. This includes the use of drones which can be extremely dangerous to aviation operations..
