Coulta Grass Fire
CFS is responding to a grass fire burning near the Flinders Highway, approximately 10 km south of Coulta in Lower Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.
A warning message has been issued for this incident, please visit cfs.sa.gov.au for the latest information.
CFS crews on 8 trucks, supported by Metropolitan Fire Service, Farm Fire Units and aircraft are on scene working to extinguish the fire.
The fire remains uncontrolled and has crossed the Flinders Highway while continuing to spread steadily in grassland and crop towards surrounding properties.
Roads have been closed due to this incident and it is unknown when they will be reopened. A full list of current road closures is available at: traffic.sa.gov.au
Smoke may be visible over surrounding areas. If you need to travel on roads in the area, please take care and drive to the local conditions.
