BUSHFIRE SAFER PLACES AND BUSHFIRE LAST RESORT REFUGES
For communities in and around the fire area, you should identify your closest Bushfire Safer Place and travel to the area well before the fire threatens your safety.
Bushfire Safer Places are often within townships.
When identifying your closest Bushfire Safer Place, you must work out your options if your route to this location is threatened by the fire.
When you make the decision to leave it is recommended you stay informed about the BRAMFIELD GRASS FIRE and adjust your plan if conditions change.
A list of all Bushfire Safer Places can be found at https://cfs.sa.gov.au/prepare-for-a-fire/bushfire-safer-places/ or on your local council's website.

If your Bushfire Survival Plan has failed, and it is safe to do so, relocate to your nearest Bushfire Last Resort Refuge.
A Bushfire Last Resort Refuge should be your last choice of location to shelter from a bushfire as they offer limited protection and support services.
They may provide minimum levels of protection from radiant heat and should only be used if you are unable to travel to a Bushfire Safer Place.
