The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises that there is a bushfire in the Bool Lagoon Gaming Reserve 40 km south west of Naracoorte in the state's South East.

The fire was caused by a lightning strike and has burned approximately 10 hectares of scrub. The fire is contained, however with the predicted fire weather there is a chance smoke will be visible during the day.

CFS volunteers and National Parks firefighters will be on scene monitoring during the day.

South Australia is experiencing a significant number of dry lightning strikes, and the CFS urges anyone who sees an unattended fire to please call Triple Zero (000).
