ISSUED FOR BELALIE EAST

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises people in and around the Bellalie East area in the Mid North that a large amount of smoke is visible in the area.
The cause of the smoke is due to a Grass fire on a rural property South East of the Jamestown township, which may produce smoke for the next couple of hours.

CFS crews supported by farm fire units have contained the fire and are currently working to extinguish any hotspots in the area and will remain on scene for the next few hours.

As a precaution residents in the area who suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions may wish to consider closing all doors and windows and remaining indoors.
