Smoke visible across Riverland - Renmark to Murray Bridge

Wednesday 25th November

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises people in and around Riverland - Renmark to Murray Bridge that a large amount of smoke is visible in the area.

The smoke is due to smoke drift from the Pinery bushfire .

Smoke is being reported between Murray Bridge and Renmark and throughout the Riverland

CFS Media says that members of the public should not be concerned by the smoke.

'Residents in the area are advised to close doors and windows until the smoke passes,' CFS Media said.

'Those travelling in the area should exercise caution as smoke may reduce visibility.'

People with respiratory problems are advised to stay inside and close all doors and windows until the smoke has passed.

While the CFS is aware of smoke in the Riverland - Renmark to Murray Bridge area, it does advise residents that should they observe a fire burning unattended, that they should call Triple Zero immediately.

For further information refer to the CFS website or contact the Bushfire Information Hotline on 1300 362 361.
