PASKEVILLE HOTEL FIRE CAUSE UNDETERMINED
14/11/2012
Fire investigators have concluded that the cause of a fire which destroyed the Paskeville Hotel on Yorke Peninsula early this morning is undetermined.
CFS and MFS crews were called to the structure fire at the rear of the hotel on Railway Terrace just after 3.40am.
Fire investigators identified electrical damage in the cool room area at the rear of the hotel but due to the intensity of the heat and level of damage, the exact cause could not be determined.
Despite the efforts of more than 40 CFS and MFS firefighters, the fire spread rapidly through the hotel and destroyed the entire building.
The estimated cost of the damage has been revised to $760,000.
