Tulka Fire Update

Crews from the SA Country Fire Service supported by the SA Metropolitan Fire Service and Department for Environment, Water and Natural Resourse are continuing to work on the Fire near Tulka in the states West Coast this evening.
CFS State Coordinator Malim Watts says the fire which has burnt more than 2000 hectares is still out of control and threatening the areas surrounding Sleaford Bay and Fishery Bay.
"Unfortunately this afternoon CFS has had confirmation of the loss of two houses, at least two sheds and a hay shed".
"CFS volunteers and other emergency services, together with the community, have done an outstanding job in very difficult and dangerous circumstances"
CFS, SA Police and SA MFS will be sending investigators to the area tomorrow to undertaking a full investigation into the fire.
More than 100 firefighters continue to working hard to bring this fire under control and will remain on scene overnight and tomorrow. A contingent of crews from Adelaide are also being deployed into the area tomorrow morning.
While the fire still poses a great risk to the community a change in weather has started to move across the area assisting in firefighting operations.
