The media are invited to a press conference launching the annual Be Bushfire Ready campaign. The campaign is urging South Australians to prepare for the Fire Danger Season, which begins on 1 November in 11 of the state's 15 Fire Ban Districts.
Speakers include Emergency Services Minister Rhiannon Pearce, CFS Executive Director Statewide Operations Brenton Hastie, MFS Chief Officer Jeff Swann, and Ian Hancock, property owner from Humbug Scrub who was impacted by the Sampson Flat bushfire. Media will be provided with campaign assets including video. CFS and MFS trucks will be on scene.
