Bushfire Safety for Media Training

SA Country Fire Service (CFS) will offer a series of Bushfire Safety for Media training sessions to media representatives.

The training program consists of a 1.5 hour session which covers basic fire awareness and safety and survival information on a fireground. The training also includes an overview of how bushfires are managed by the CFS and its volunteer firefighters.

The CFS is holding several training sessions for media outlets on their premises this year, along with five sessions at CFS Headquarters.

Wednesday, September 5 - 3pm
Thursday, September 6 - 4.30pm
Wednesday, September 12 - 10am
Wednesday, September 12 - 1pm
Thursday, September 13 - 8am

For those in Regional Areas - a Webinar will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at 11.15am - register below for the link.

There will not be an online refresher course offered this year.

The CFS media accreditation card remains valid for two years and must be prominently worn at any CFS-controlled fireground. This card will not always guarantee access to a fireground, which will be at the discretion of the CFS. Safety will always remain the priority.
