Be prepared despite no Total Fire Bans

People are advised that no Total Fire Bans are declared for Wednesday, 14 December 2016 in any Fire Ban Districts.

Although Tuesday, 13 December has been a day of severe to extreme fire danger ratings, weather conditions have reduced risks for tomorrow.

However we remain in Fire Danger Season and risks remains very high for most of the state.

CFS State Coordinator Leigh Miller has reminded the community to be prepared for any conditions.

"The weather we've seen today is a prompt for ensuring people review their Bushfire Survival Plans and are ready to put them into action," he said.

Farmers are encouraged to ensure they know and adhere to the harvesting code of practice.

Fire regulations apply state-wide on the use of machinery and equipment in the open, which will remain in place until the end of the Fire Danger Season.

A guide to what people can and can't do, as well as information about fire bans and the harvesting code of practice, is on the CFS website at
