BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE

Issued for Emu Flat, Clare and Armagh

CFS crews continue to work at the Emu Flat Fire in the Clare Valley, to the West of the Clare township. Today crews will be burning out patches of scrub and grass within the fireground in order to strengthen control lines. This may increase the amount of smoke visible in the area. This fire remains contained and crews will continue to remain on scene throughout the day. Residents in the area should continue to monitor the situation. Winds are expected to pick up today and there remains a risk of further escapes. To ensure your safety and that of Firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary. Check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan. Well prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety.
