Bushfire Household Self-Assessment Tool

The South Australian Government is committed to enhancing public safety by reducing the impact of bush fires.  The Bushfire Household Self-Assessment Tool is provided by the South Australian Country Fire Service to help you to assess your household's level of risk from a bush fire and make informed decisions about the safety of your household.

To best undertake your assessment, you need to complete the following steps:

  • Read and agree to the terms and conditions for the use of the tool;
  • Determine the potential bush fire attack level which your property might be exposed to;
  • Assess your personal capacity to actively defend your property;
  • Review the advice and guidance provided and make your decision to leave early or stay and defend.
